ANE IMAGE: Quantitative imaging of people, places and things
Mission: To bring the latest in imaging technologies and software tools to the academic and commercial worlds
Our goal is to encourage and develop the application of state of the art imaging tools for applications as diverse as biomedicine, archeology and the conservation and documentation of priceless cultural heritage sites and objects.
The past quarter century has seen great strides in the abilities of imaging technologies, resulting in unprecedented growth of interest in their application to the arts and sciences. Employing sophisticated technologies and simplifying techniques, reducing costs and providing training, ANE IMAGE has introduced and made accessible new tools and techniques (both hardware and software) to a wide range of users in the US and abroad.
Greg Bearman has been a pioneer in the application of spectral imaging to biomedicine and cultural heritage, most notably the Dead Sea Scrolls. Recently, his emphasis has been on repeatable quantitative imaging for monitoring and conserving cultural heritage using tools such as spectral imaging, 3D and reflectance transformation imaging.
